can we talk about the small privilege that gender-conforming and binary trans ppl have when comparing to nonbinary/nonconforming trans people? because honestly… there have been so many occasions where I have thought about wanting to transition fully as the gender opposite to what I was assigned at birth, I convinced myself that it would be easier, but I was always so conflicted because I didn’t want to transition in that way. even my parents, siblings, strangers felt the need to comment; “idc if you’re trans but you can only be male/female trans” “oh, so you don’t use she pronouns? it must automatically be he!”; and my personal favorite: “pick a side.”
in conclusion, to my binary trans kids out there: spread awareness!! be accepting! there are nonbinary trans kids out there too! we are just as trans as you. we are just as valid.
