This is not only what English sounds like to non-nativeEnglish speakers, but also what people talking often sounds like with auditory processing disorder, made worse with background noise like vehicles or other people chatting, or not being able to get some visual cues from them, like on the phone (or, god forbid, both *shudder*)

This is one of those times that I realize that something I experience all the time is part of me being autistic. Like, I already knew that I had difficulty with processing other people’s words since I have a note taker for my classes, but this video made me realize just how often I just don’t understand what people are saying. It sounds exactly like this. I’m constantly mishearing things, or just not processing what people are saying. This video made me emotional, because it truly made me realize that yet another part of me, another part of the way I work, is just me being autistic (being myself) and I’m not broken. Gosh, I love when this happens.
