Art by Yoko Ono. An all-white chess set, Half-A-Room, and Painting to Hammer a Nail In.

Though often ridiculed and vilified (partly a lingering effect of 1960s media bias, xenophobism, misogyny, and racism), Yoko Ono in my opinion is one of the most interesting conceptual artists of the 20th century. The Bed-Ins and “War Is Over” posters, as well as “Imagine” were her ideas; her main platform today, her Twitter account, is always thought-provoking.

If you just dislike her, fine, but don’t do it because British newspapers told you so 50 years ago.
