Hi my name is Angie and I’m an eighteen year old queer Latina. I’m running away at the end of June to get away from my physically and emotionally abusive parents. They recently found out about this plan through reading my texts and said they won’t support me at all, unless I live with them, and will basically disown me after I leave. My grant doesn’t cover everything since I’m moving out of state and I’ll be an out of state student. I’ll still have to pay a lot for college, textbooks, and rent. I’m a severely mentally ill and disabled person and am trying to find a job that will work with my limitations or that I won’t get fired from easily. I also need to go to therapy to get treatment and medication but my insurance won’t cover all of it. I hate to be that person but I’m desperate and running out of options and I really can’t stay here any longer and withstand the suffering and trauma that I have endured for the past eighteen years.
