There is quite a difference between healthy respect and idolization. The CGs clearly idolize Rose Quartz. There’s not been a bad word said against her by any of them. Or, hell, from anyone that I can recall that wasn’t a Homeworld Gem.
We’re already seeing the damage this is causing Steven and well, we have a very recent example of how well idolization goes:
This isn’t a “Rose is totally evil” theory, but there is only so long they can go without addressing the fact that no one is perfect and Rose Quartz was very much not perfect. Idolization is unhealthy and it never pans out well. Rose sits on a pedestal so high it would put Lapis’ water tower to shame.
I’m just wondering when they’re going to do more than just pick away slowly at said pedestal. There’s hints here and there, they just haven’t quite gotten to the topic yet. The suffering is coming.
