growing up a girl autistic can mean:

– finding most feminine clothing unbearably uncomfortable bc of sensory issues
– finding having long hair unbearably uncomfortable bc of sensory issues
– finding styling your hair impossibly hard bc of motor control issues
– finding wearing makeup unbearably uncomfortable bc of sensory issues
– constantly being shamed by everyone around you for not being feminine enough
– not understanding that not every single other girl in the world feels the same way but just deals with it bc they are stronger than you and care enough about appearing feminine the “right” amount
– growing up feeling weak and ugly and ashamed and disconnected from your gender when you otherwise wouldn’t
